First time backpacking a trail that someone else added! We camped in early February with a hot tent and Liteoutdoors light weight stove. Got down to about 20 degrees F that night.
The last time I came here in January 2017, the two bridges that cross the creek at the beginning of the trail were starting to wash out. There were signs that stated 'hike at your own risk'.
Went back in Dec 2016 and stayed in the cabin by the summit. The trip up in the winter can be sketchy within the last mile as the trail's grade increases and there are more rocks and ice to deal with.
