After hiking up to the Reading Pagoda, the following day we hiked to the top of Neversink Mountain to get a different perspective. Great short hike, but it has a bit of steep uphill along the way.
This easy hike leads to a really scenic historic dam waterfall within Valley Creek. You'll pass several historic buildings of Valley Forge, like Washington's Headquarters, along the way to/from the waterfall.
Not really a hike, but rather a scenic short walk to explore some waterfalls of Wissahickon. Great spring day with eastern redbud trees flowering along the trail.
One of the more unique hikes near the Reading area. This mostly-easy hike includes the steel cable tight-rope crossing which was the most challenging part. Great view at the climbing quarry. Hiking out to the Birdsboro Reservoir was worth it for those views too. Consider hiking the bypass route to reach both if you don't want to risk the creek crossing.
Mostly an easy hike up to the pagoda. The trail doesn't lead to the main parking lot which means you need to hop the fence if you want views of the entire building. Watch for broken glass along the trail near the pagoda especially if hiking with dogs or little kids.
