Very long hike but well worth the effort. The lakes were beautiful and the scenery was unmatched by other hikes I've done. Dislikes: the snowfields along the Lake Haiyaha Trail - they seemed endless, scrambling to Lake Haiyaha - a bit dangerous, and the super steep snowfields along the mountain slopes down to Dream Lake - terrifying. Still an amazing hike with a ton of sights to see along the way.

Snow pack was pretty deep even in late Spring. Some postholing on the way to Lake Irene but it wasn't too bad. Turned around at the shoreline view.

Nice walk along the Colorado River with mountain views. Downside is there isn't much shade so make sure to apply sunscreen before you head out.
