Took a short walk along the WRT from the Barbour Rock Trail to get photos of Pine Creek Gorge with the Lone Pine during the first snowfall of 2020 that stuck to the trees. Beautiful quiet and secluded mid-week hike.
Took a nice secluded morning hike out to Barbour Rock during the first snowfall of 2020 that really stuck to the trees. Got some nice photos of Pine Creek Gorge with snowy trees.
Drove by the parking lot around 1:30PM on a Saturday during mid-October and the lot was completely full (20 cars) plus about 20 cars parked along the road. Barbour Rock is insanely overcrowded during COVID-19 and unfortunately, if you're looking for solitude, you likely won't find it here on the weekends.

Quick early morning foliage hike out to Nelson Falls. New signs were added along with ropes to keep folks back from the dangerous terrain close to the waterfall. The view is not obstructed.
Took a short hike up to the waterfall in late September, 2020 but the water was totally dried up even after a full day of heavy rainfall the day prior. This waterfall is only running during the Spring through mid-June before the water dries up.
Took a short lunch break hike along the eastern side of the Rim Trail at Colton Point State Park to the 3 overlooks. Pine Creek Gorge’s (PA Grand Canyon) foliage has been stellar during late September, 2020. The yellows are starting to fade to brown but the canyon still has pops of orange, yellow, and hints of red foliage. Hiked this out-and-back for about 1 mile.
