Got to the Red Sand beach earlier than on our first trip, but the beach was already pretty crowded. The trail out is still just as sketchy in some spots as in 2019, so hikers should wear proper footwear to get to the beach -- plenty of people hiking this in flip-flops and will likely get hurt. Thankfully the parking situation leads this beach to have a maximum capacity. Follow the road signs and only park where allowed. If parking is not available, you can drive around for a while and check again, but respect the locals and do not block the street or park on private driveways, etc.

Beautiful night hike along the Marginal Way after sunset to avoid the crowds. During COVID-19 the trail is still open and requires walkers to wear masks and keep 6-feet apart where they can. The trail is still very busy during the day despite COVID.

Cascade Falls in Saco, Maine is a beautiful waterfall hike with little effort and a big payout. When we hiked this trail, the bridge along the Green Loop was washed out but the waterfall is still accessible. Hikers can start at the parking lot, take a right-hand turn at the red blazes to follow them to the top of the falls. Take a right-hand turn along the Green Loop which heads downhill to Cascade Falls. The hike back is the same if the bridge is washed out.

Went back to Nickel Run Falls, Nessmuk's Winter Camp, and visited Upper Nickel Run Falls with Pete from the Mid State Trail Association. Helped reblaze the yellow paint along the Nickel Run Spur Trail and spur trail leading into the MST from parking. We checked out the old railroad embankment near Nessmuk's winter camp, and then hiked north to Upper Nickel Run Falls. The overgrowth along this trail no longer exists as of June 28th, 2020 since another volunteer from the MST Association came out and did an amazing job clearing out all of the brush along the trail.

The Leonard Harrison side of this trail is closed as of May 18th, 2020 likely due to erosion and unsafe terrain. No signage regarding re-opening as of yet. According to the Leonard Harrison State Park website, the "The trail will need extensive repair work before it can re-open".
