Beautiful day in the pine creek gorge. Few blow downs early on on old supply but easy to get under. Saw 2 grouse and 1 timber rattlesnake at the quarry vista before heading down into slate run.

Summer is probably the worst time to go! The first ½ mile there's LOTS of downed trees and thick cover which doesn't help in finding the path. Once we got up top trail was awesome and views were great.
