Mancos Valley Overlook
The Mancos Valley Overlook at Mesa Verde National Park near Cortez, Colorado is an easy universally-accessible 0.1-mile out-and-back trail that features views of the Mancos Valley Mesa Verde's steep eastern slopes.This is not a hike but rather a very short walk that follows a paved pathway out to the overlook area. At the overlook, you'll find views of the snow-capped mountains that sit on the horizon and tower over the Mancos Valley below. To the north are some of Mesa Verde's ridges that swoop down to the valley.

Visitors will find a parking lot at the coordinates provided. As of June 2024, the lot is large enough to fit approximately a dozen vehicles.

Dogs are not allowed on this trail. Dogs are allowed on paved trails including the Park Point Trail and the Mesa Top Loop Sites including: The Navajo Canyon Overlook, Square Tower House Overlook Trail, Pithouses & Pueblos Loop, Mesa Top Sites Trail, Sun Point Pueblo, Sun Point View, Oak Tree House View, Fire Temple & New Fire House View, and the Sun Temple & Cliff Palace View.
