Please note that while Pendleton Trace provides access to viewing the cascade, reaching the main cascade is strongly discouraged due to the dangerous, unmaintained terrain of Blackwater Gorge. Be sure to check trail conditions and seasonal closures, as access to certain areas, like the lower section of the Blackwater Falls Trail, may be restricted during winter for safety reasons.
