Seneca Trail

The Seneca Trail at Newtown Battlefield State Park near Elmira, New York is an easy 0.2-mile one-way trail that connects Sullivan's March to the Native American Village Pathway.

This is a very short hike through the forest of Newtown Battlefield State Park. Not much to see along this trail aside from the useful "Seneca Trail" signage. The trail can be used by hikers or bikers to connect the south end of the park to the north and is especially useful if you plan to explore the replica Native American village.

Parking
Note that the parking coordinates for this hike bring visitors to the southern-most parking lot near the entrance to the park. Hikers will have to walk down the road or along Sullivan's March to reach this trail.

Dogs are allowed if leashed and must be cleaned up after.
