Jones Creek Trail

The Jones Creek Trail at Thousand Islands National Park near Mallorytown, Ontario is an easy 0.6 km out-and-back trail that leads to the center trail system at the park, including the Bear Loop and Heron Loop.

This short trail follows a mostly-flat gravel path and leads from the parking area at the Jones Creek section of the park into the forest. Hikers will reach the main hiking trails around 0.3 km from the trailhead where you can hike along the Bear Loop which leads out to the Heron Loop, Eel Loop, and Turtle Loop trails.

Parking & Fees

Hikers will find a small parking lot at the coordinates provided, located on the north side of 1000 Islands Parkway near Mallorytown, ON. The lot is large enough to fit less than 12 vehicles as of October 2024. There's a parking fee of about $10 (in 2024), which can be paid by QR code found in front of parking spaces.

Pets

Dogs are allowed if leashed and cleaned up after.
