For a more demanding adventure within Ravensburg State Park, challenge yourself with the iconic Thousand Steps Trail, a steep 0.6-mile ascent up a rocky mountainside. This trail requires careful footing and occasional hand use, rewarding your effort with stunning views. Alternatively, explore the unofficial Castle Rocks Trail, a short but challenging 0.2-mile scramble to reach breathtaking mountain vistas. Please note that the Thousand Steps trail is marked with yellow blazes. Be prepared for icy conditions during the winter months, requiring specialized gear. The Castle Rocks Trail involves climbing rock ledges and is not suitable for dogs due to the steep drop-offs; caution is advised.
