Explore the scenic beauty of the region with a hike on the Cherry Springs Working Forest Interpretive Trail, an easy 1.2-mile loop that meanders through both Cherry Springs State Park and the adjacent Susquehannock State Forest. Be mindful of the distinct yellow and red trail blazes, especially at forks, to ensure you stay on course. Keep in mind that while camping is welcome within the state forest portion of the trail, dogs are only permitted in that area and not within the boundaries of Cherry Springs State Park itself.

Discover the rich history of Cherry Springs at the Historic Cherry Springs Tavern, a meticulously restored replica of an 1818 log house. Located within Cherry Springs State Park and a short walk from the visitor parking area, the tavern offers a glimpse into the area's past. While Cherry Springs State Park is renowned for its exceptionally dark skies and stargazing opportunities, please note that the stargazing area is currently under construction as of August 2024. The park, once an airfield, continues to draw visitors seeking an escape from light pollution and a chance to connect with nature.
