Yellow Trail
The Yellow Trail at Houghton Land Preserve in Corning, New York is an easy 0.4-mile one-way trail that connects connects end-to-end with the Blue Trail.This recording starts at the eastern trailhead; however, hikers can easily find the western trailhead at the first trail junction along the Blue Trail as well. This short trail winds around just north of the Blue Trail and also gives hikers access to the White Trail and Orange Trail at the park as well.
There's noting special to see along this trail, but it's a great additional 0.4-miles of hiking at the Houghton Land Preserve.
Pets
Dogs are allowed and must be kept on a leash at all times. Their waste must be carried out by the hiker.
Parking
Hikers can find a large parking lot at the coordinates provided. There's enough room to fit about 15 vehicles.
Hours
The Houghton Land Preserve is open from dawn to dusk and is closed at night.
Prohibited No motor vehicles, bicycles, or horses on the preserve. No camping, fires, collecting, littering, dumping, alcohol, or target shooting.
Hunting
Hunting is permitted here, so hikers should wear orange.
