Spur Line Trail

The Spur Line Trail at Lyman Run State Park in Galeton, Pennsylvania is an easy to moderate 0.6-mile one-way trail that connects the Rock Run Trail to the end of the Rock Run Trail along Rock Run Road.

This trail is simply a gradual-grade connector trail that you can use to hike up to the Lyman Lake Vista point along the Rock Run Trail for an easier hike than taking the Rock Run Trail. There are no blazes to follow, but none are needed since there are no offshoot trails from this one until you reach the other end.

Hiking uphill: This recording starts at the top of the hill and heads down back to parking. If you plan to hike this trail in the opposite direction, make sure to look for a trailhead sign along the Rock Run Trail, not very far from the trailhead along the road, to make sure you take a left-hand turn onto this trail. Otherwise you may miss the turn and continue hiking along the Rock Run Trail. The uphill hike is a lot easier than the Rock Run Trail due to the grade of the trail.

Parking: Parking can be found at the coordinates provided and sits across the street from the eastern campground. Follow signs for the Rock Run Trail straight from the parking area. There's enough space for about 5 cars.

Pets: Dogs are allowed on leash and their waste must be carried out.

Hunting: Hunting is allowed here - wear orange to make yourself visible.
