The Sassafras Horse Trail at Slate Run Metro Park in Ashville, Ohio is a 2.1 mile one-way/loop combination hike that goes through forests and meadows of the park. You can pick up the trail in two different places - one trailhead is at the parking lot and another is half way between Harrisburg Fairfield rd and the parking lot. The Southern portion of the trail loops back to itself before heading east and north to the parking area.

Great horse trail! Meadow of flowers, a creek, wooden bridge, beautiful wooded area. Has a little bit of everything! Bathrooms and water available. Great parking. My favorite little trail riding spot! I just ride it 2x:)
