The Newtown Overlook at Newtown Battlefield State Park near Elmira, New York is an easy 0.1-mile one-way walk that features a valley view of the mountains surrounding Lowman and Wellsburg, New York.
This is not a hike but rather a short walk that leads from a large parking lot, passed the Newtown Battlefield Monument, and over to the large vista/overlook at the park. Walkers can technically drive up to the overlook, but if you wish to make a day hike out of the park, you can leave your vehicle at these parking coordinates and walk to the Newtown Overlook, then hit some trails.
