Crow's Nest Overlook

Crow's Nest Overlook at Garret Mountain Reservation in Paterson, New Jersey is an easy 0.1-mile out-and-back walk that leads to an old stonework structure known as the Crow's Nest Overlook that provides views of the area.

This is not a hike but rather a short walk that ends at the Crow's Nest Overlook. From the Crow's Nest, visitors will get a neat view of the open fields in Garret Mountain Reservation along with a glimpse into downtown Paterson, NJ. The Crow's Nest appears to be relatively old, but as of December 2023, there was no signage -- it's possible this structure dates back to the Lambert Castle and Lambert Tower era, circa 1896, but that's my own speculation.

Parking
Visitors will find a large parking lot at the coordinates provided. The lot is large enough to fit a couple dozen vehicles as of December 2023.

Pets
Dogs are allowed only if leashed and must be cleaned up after.
