Exploring Cameron Falls in Waterton Park
The walk to view Cameron Falls is quick and easy from the main parking lot, located right at the trailhead. The paved, universally-accessible path leads from the parking area and over to several viewpoints located just downstream from the base of the waterfall. This route ends at the closest point to the cascade; however, visitors can also extend their walk by following the footbridge that crosses Cameron Creek to reach a trail that ascends to the top of the waterfall. The best view, however, is from the base and thus we skipped the walk to the top of the falls on this trip. Visitors will find Cameron Falls is quite a unique waterfall as it include three tiers of cascades on a slanted and up-heaved bedrock. The pool it cascades into reflects a green-blue tint, though it's certainly not as turquoise as Blakiston Falls' pool.
