From the Main Trail, you can discover a side path leading to the charming Stony Brook. This easily accessible location is a good place to stretch your legs outside of the city.

Planning a hike in the Westover Conservation Area? Be sure to consider the Stony Brook Trail, a short 0.3-mile out-and-back option that leads you directly to the brook itself. Note that crossing Stony Brook may require wading, especially during periods of higher water levels, as there isn't a bridge available. Hikers should also be aware of hunting season and wear blaze orange for safety, as the Westover Conservation Area is frequented by hunters. Remember to park on Tilley Street and walk about 0.2 miles from West Street to access the Main Trail and its various branching paths.
