For a longer, more secluded adventure, consider the Glade Creek Trail, a mostly flat 12.2-mile out-and-back hike perfect for backpacking within New River Gorge National Park. Enjoy scenic vistas including Kate's Falls (especially impressive in spring), picturesque creek overlooks, and a wide waterfall. Numerous readily accessible campsites are located along the trail. Despite its moderate rating, the trail is considered easy-moderate due to its gentle terrain, and you can anticipate low traffic, particularly on weekends, offering a tranquil hiking experience.
