White Oak Trail
The White Oak Trail at Pleasant Valley Park in Murrysville, Pennsylvania is an easy 0.7 mile one-way trail that encompasses the southern tip of the park. This trail connects the Red Maple Trail to the Brien Palmer Trail, so to start it, you need to hike in just under 1 mile from the parking lot to reach this trail. The trail runs along a slope which leads down to the creek below. Just on the other side of the creek is a horse barn and some houses on the hillside. The color of the creek's water is interesting as well as the sandy bottom reflects a glassy blue/green color from the creek.
This trail is slightly less trafficked than the other trails at the park since the trailheads are in strange spots, but makes for a nice quiet hike or ride through the park.
