The Uncle Tom's Trail in Yellowstone National Park, is a 1.1 mile out-and-back trail that leads down to Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River at the Yellowstone Grand Canyon.
This GPS data covers slightly more than just the Uncle Tom's Trail - it also includes a portion of the South Rim Trail, which gives views to the Upper Falls on the Yellowstone River.
The staircase down Uncle Tom's trail to Lower Falls is very strenuous with about 350 steps and is not especially pleasing for people who are afraid of heights, but the view is worth every step.
This is one of the best hiking trails in Yellowstone National Park.
