Railroad Grade Trail

The Railroad Grade Trail at Ives Run Recreation Area near Middlebury Township, Pennsylvania is an easy 1.8-mile out-and-back trail that runs along Crooked Creek and features views of the surrounding mountains.

This short trail is mostly flat with a substrate of gravel. Along the trail are a couple of spots with views of the surrounding mountains along a small pond that sits to the south of the trail. This viewing point is one of the only scenic areas on the trail and is not very far from the northern parking lot. The park still uses this trail is a service road, so hikers may see park rangers driving down the trail from time to time.

Views / Lookouts
The only views and lookouts counted along this trail are near the northern terminus along the pond with views of the mountains and along Crooked Creek with some views of the mountains to the west. There are no true overlooks along this trail.

Dogs are allowed if leashed and their waste must be carried out by the hiker.
