Pilgrims' First Landing Park
Pilgrims' First Landing Park in Provincetown, Massachusetts is an easy 0.1-mile out-and-back walk that leads to a tiny cul-de-sac park that features a plaque dedicated to the first location that the pilgrims originally landed in the "New World".This is not a hike, but rather a quick mostly-flat paved walk that leads to a viewing platform and plaque within the park. From the park, visitors get a nice view of Cape Cod Bay, Long Point Light Station and Wood End Lighthouse.
The plaque reads: "The first landing place of the Pilgrims. Nov 11, 1620. O.S. The map in the mourts relation shows that near this spot the pilgrims first touched foot on American soil. Erected by the Research Club of Provincetown 1917."
Parking
Visitors will find parking located around the park's cul-de-sac. There's enough space for over a dozen cars with additional paid street parking nearby.
Pets
Dogs are allowed only if leashed and must be cleaned up after.
