The Painted Post Bike Trail in Painted Post, New York is an easy 2.2-mile out-and-back paved and universally accessible path that features an old train station, tunnels, views, and a human-made waterfall in Erwin Creek.
Walk Description
The main trailhead is located at Craig Park; however, this trail leaves the park almost immediately and passes through several neighborhoods as it makes its way toward Corning. The trail is paved, flat, and universally accessible to the general public. Note that this is a popular bike trail, so stay on the right-side of the trail at all times and keep a lookout for bikers.
Painted Post-Erwin Depot - Mile 0.25
Around mile 0.25 from Craig Park, hikers will reach the old train station, Painted Post-Erwin Depot which is part of a museum. If interested, you can read more about the museum here.

Erwin Creek Spillway & Higman Hill View - Mile 1
Around mile 1, hikers will reach a footbridge that crosses Erwin Creek. Here, you'll find two scenic sights - the Erwin Creek spillway, which is simply a 12-foot tall human-made double waterfall. One the opposite side, facing south, is a nice view of Higman Hill as it towers over Painted Post and Corning alike.
