Descent

The Overlook Trail at Pfeiffer Nature Center's Lillibridge Property in Portville, New York is an easy 0.1-mile out-and-back trail that leads to a beautiful vista.

This trail is very short and easy, but hikers must hike in on a couple of trails to reach it - some of which are moderate to hard in difficulty. The trail follows a short path out to a clear-cut for power lines and then the trail takes a left-hand turn to head toward the vista point. The trail heads downhill for about 40 feet to reach the best viewpoint of the mountains and hills in the distance.

The hike back is easy, just head back the way you came from to connect to the Question Mark Trail or the White Oak Trail.

Reaching the Trailhead To reach this trailhead, hikers can follow the Giffin's Way Trail from the parking lot to its northern terminus, then take a right-hand turn and hike along a path for about 200-feet to find a trailhead for the Question Mark Trail - follow the Question Mark Trail east until you reach the trailhead for the Overlook Trail.

Parking
Hikers can find parking at the coordinates provided. The parking lot is large enough to fit about 8 large vehicles.

Pets
Dogs are allowed if leashed and their waste must be carried out by the hiker.

Blaze Color
This trail follows white blazes much like the rest of the trails at the Lillibridge Property, which can be confusing.

MyHikes is an indie web platform aimed to make exploring public trails easier for everyone. The site has no investors and is owned and operated by one person, Dave Miller (Founder & Admin). As the Founder, main contributor, and doer-of-all-things for MyHikes, I share my trips with over-detailed write-ups for fun on a volunteer basis and I believe that public trail information should be available to everyone.

It takes a lot of time 🕦, money 💰, and effort (including espresso shots ☕) to run MyHikes, including hiking , mapping , writing , and publishing new trails with high-quality content... along with building new features, moderating, site maintainance, and app development for iOS and Android . I simply ask that if you find MyHikes' trail guides helpful to please consider becoming a Supporter to help keep the site, iOS, and Android apps available to everyone.

Supporters unlock website and in-app perks with a one-time payment of $25 (you renew) 😎👍. Or you can simply make a Donation of your choice without a MyHikes user account. Otherwise, telling your friends about MyHikes is the next-best thing - both quick and free 🎉
