Mountain Brow Lookout

The Mountain Brow Lookout in Hamilton, Ontario is a short 0.34 km (0.2-mile) out-and-back walk that leads to views of Hamilton from the cliff line of the Niagara Escarpment.

Walk
This short walk begins at a small parking lot along Mountain Brow Blvd in Hamilton where visitors will find a paved, universally-accessible pathway that run along the cliff line high above the city. This very short out-and-back route leads to two different views from the lookout -- one facing northwest and the other facing northeast. Both views provide sweeping vistas of Hamilton with distant views of the Niagara Escarpment as it runs both east and west. Walkers can choose to venture much further along this paved trail as it runs for quite a while in both directions. During our visit we had many other stops to make, hence the very short out-and-back 0.34 km walk.

Universal Access
This path should be considered universally accessible and follows a smooth paved surface as of August 2024.

Parking
Visitors will find a small parking turnout with parallel parking by the coordinates provided, located on the north side of Mountain Brow Blvd. The turnout is large enough to fit about 5 vehicles as of August 2024. There are other parking lots located further south along the trail with additional parking.

Pets
Dogs are allowed if leashed and must be cleaned up after.

Warning
Steep cliffs: Stay on the proper side of the fence line to ensure your own safety. This trail leads along very steep cliffs with sheer drop-offs of the Niagara Escarpment.
