Mirror Lake Ice Walk

The Mirror Lake Ice Walk in Lake Placid, New York is an easy 0.6-mile out-and-back (or much longer) walk across the frozen lake, only during winter months.

Walk Description
This is not a hike, but rather a walk across the frozen Mirror Lake during the Winter. A massive loop trail, during 2023 was plowed across the lake, giving walkers the ability to get exercise and take in the views of Lake Placid from the frozen waters of Mirror Lake. During the Winter you can walk this as far as you want.

Parking
Note that the parking coordinates provided will bring you to metered street parking. There are also metered parking lots nearby.

Pets
Dogs are allowed if leashed and cleaned up after.
