Metacomet - Monadnock Trail - Section 4

Section 4 of the Metacomet - Monadnock trail is end to end trail located along the border of Holyoke and Westfield. The road that connects to the southern trail head is closed, but it is a short walk to the trail head coming from Holyoke, you may may also park on the Westfield side for a shorter walk. The trail is short but steep to start and then follows the ridge along East Mountain providing views of the Barnes Airport and Western MA. The trail and areas surrounding the trails show heavy usage from ATVs but is still well maintained. There are several lookout towers and cliff faces for viewing.
