This is the northern portion of Section 2 of the Metacomet & Monadnock Trail and is 3.7 miles out-and-back. Follow the trail from the Westfield River up to the old WWLP Station/Radio Towers. The trail follows along the Westfield side of the ridge allowing from views of Westfield and Russell. The full section is 3.4 miles long, this is roughly the northern half.

The trailhead starts within Robinson State Park, but the remainder of the trail heads outside of the park not too far into the hike.
