McKenzie Boulders Trail
The McKenzie Boulders Trail at Adirondack Park near Saranac Lake, New York is an easy 0.2-mile out-and-back walk that leads to massive boulders that are popular with climbers and boulderers, but is also a nice peaceful place to take a short walk in the woods.Hike Description
This hike begins at the parking area along McKenzie Pond Road and heads east for a couple-hundred feet before the unmarked trail comes into view on the left-hand (north) side of the road. The trailhead might be tricky to find - just look for signage in the woods located approximately 20 to 30-feet from the road.
Once on the trail, the walk ends at the McKenzie Boulders, just 100-feet or so down the path. Even if you're not a climber, you can spot chalked-out hand holds for climbers and boulderers on the cracks and crevasses of these boulders. Regardless, this is a very quiet spot, especially during the winter.

There's a small designated parking area along McKenzie Pond Road on the south side located just before the large bend in the road. This parking area is large enough to fit maybe 3 vehicles maximum.
