McGregor Point Lighthouse

The McGregor Point Lighthouse near Maalaea, Hawaii (Maui) is an easy 0.2-mile out-and-back walk that features a vista point from the lighthouse.

Walk Description
This is not a hike and rather a quick out-and-back walk. Visitors will park at the small parking lot for the McGregor Point Ligthouse and walk out along a skinny path that leads downhill toward McGregor Point. Along the way sits the 20-foot tall McGregor Point Lighthouse. From just below the lighthouse, visitors will get beautiful views of the ocean waves as they crash on the rocks below. To the east visitors get views of Maui's central valley, Haleakala, Molokini Crater, and the islands of Kaho'olawe and Lanai.

Parking
Visitors will find a small parking lot at the coordinates provided. It's large enough to fit 8 cars or less. The service road that leads uphill along McGregor Point generally has more parking available. Do not overcrowd.

Pets
Dogs are allowed if leashed and must be cleaned up after.

Respecting the Land
Hawaiian land is considered sacred to native Hawaiians and many locals, so please stay on-trail, take nothing but photos, and leave nothing but footprints. Respect the locals - don't stay for long and have a backup hike planned in case the parking lot is full.
