Maniniholo Dry Cave
The Maniniholo Dry Cave in Wainiha, Hawaii (Kauai) is an easy 0.1-mile out-and-back walk that leads from Ha'ena Beach to a large sea cave. This is not a hike, but rather a short walk that leads about 100-feet into a wide sea cave located on a mountainside south of Ha'ena Beach. Please keep off of the Hawaiian Stone Wall located on the outside of the cave as stated by the signs.
Parking
Visitors will find parking at the coordinates provided at Ha'ena Beach, but the lot is large enough to fit just over a dozen vehicles and the lot fills up quickly. There's not much street parking and due to the over-popular scenery (and reservations required) at the nearby Ke'e Beach - illegal street parking fines are as high as $200 here.
Pets
Dogs are allowed if leashed and must be cleaned up after. Dogs are not allowed within the Ha'ena Beach park however.
Respecting the Land
Hawaiian land is considered sacred to native Hawaiians and many locals, so please stay on-trail, take nothing but photos, and leave nothing but footprints. Respect the locals - don't stay for long and have a backup hike planned in case the parking lot is full.
