Lake Minnewaska Ledges Hike

This section of the Lake Minnewaska Trail at Minnewaska State Park Preserve is an easy 0.6-mile one-way trail that features beautiful views of the lake from the park's cliff lines.

Hiking Minnewaska's Cliffs

This trail begins on the east side of the lake near the picnic area and runs westward through the park, passing the northeastern cliffs that sit high above the lake. The trail ends at the Wildmere parking area.
There are great views of the lake and it's a little quieter than the northern sections of the trail, especially on the weekends. The trail is easy to follow and the grade is fairly level, which makes this a great walk for anyone. Hikers can also tack on the Beacon Hill Loop for an additional 1.4 miles to take in more views.
