Hanalei Valley Lookout

The Hanalei Valley Lookout at Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge in Princeville, Hawaii (Kauai) is a roadside vista that features stunning views of the Hanalei Valley including taro fields surrounded by massive mountains with a 2,800-foot waterfall cascading down.

There is no hiking required, just a few steps to reach the lookout, but worth the time for a nice view. This location is also just one of two publicly-accessible places within the entire Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge and also the easiest to experience for the best payout.

Parking
Visitors will find parking at the coordinates provided. The lot is large enough to fit less than 10 vehicles.

Respecting the Land
Hawaiian land is considered sacred to native Hawaiians and many locals, so please stay on-trail, take nothing but photos, and leave nothing but footprints. Respect the locals - don't stay for long and have a backup hike planned in case the parking lot is full.
