Eagle Cliff Falls Trail

The Eagle Cliff Falls Trail at Havana Glen Park in Montour Falls, New York is an easy 0.2-mile out-and-back hike that leads through Havana Glen gorge to reach the scenic ~30-foot tall free-falling waterfall, Eagle Cliff Falls.

Hike
This very short hike begins at the back of Havana Glen Park where visitors will find a trailhead located at the eastern side of the parking lot. The trail starts by leading up Havana Glen, passing several shorter waterfalls, approximately ~5-feet tall each. The trail winds through Havana Glen gorge, climbing a steep series of metal stairs, before the trail leads across uneven bedrock -- passing more short waterfalls -- before it ends within a large amphitheater with ferns and moss growing on the sides. Here, you'll find Eagle Cliff Falls cascading over the cliff in the amphitheater where it plunges into the large pool of water in a free-falling waterfall.

The trail ends at Eagle Cliff Falls, but hikers can find plenty of spots to hang out, especially when the water level is lower (i.e. Summer time). After exploring Eagle Cliff Falls, the hike back to parking is an easy short 0.1-mile jaunt to complete this easy 0.2-mile out-and-back adventure.

Parking & Fees
As of August 2024, there's a $3 entry fee to Havana Glen Park. Hikers will find a medium-sized parking lot at the back side of the park -- follow the skinny paved road around the big loop, you'll find the parking lot.

Hours
The park closes at 10PM daily.

Pet
Dogs are allowed only if leashed and must be cleaned up after.
