Dead Man's Loop Trail

The Dead Man's Loop Trail at Dead Man's Hollow Conservation Area in McKeesport, Pennsylvania is an easy 0.7 mile out-and-back trail that connects the Table Top Rock Trail to the Ruins Trail at the park.

Despite the trail's name, this trail is an out-and-back hike. The park's trail map at the trailhead shows a tiny loop in the trail on the western end of the trail, but we did not follow the trail west from where we started tracking. If you do head west from this current trailhead, you need to cross Dead Man's Run creek and walk for about 0.1 mile to the loop at the western end of the trail.

Biking and dogs are both allowed on this trail.

This trail is extremely buggy during warmer months.

Parking: Parking can be tricky due to google maps misinterpreting the parking location, so the parking marker is located at the entrance to the Dead Man's Hollow parking lot. The entrance to the parking lot can be found at the junction of Scene Ridge Rd and River Ridge Rd. Please note: There are multiple parking areas for this trail - the one listed here is just one parking location. Please see the park map for all of the parking locations.

Hunting: Hunting is allowed at Dead Man's Hollow.
