A hike ascending up a canyon wall, looping around the edge of a peninsula jutting out into Lake Billy Chinook. Features grand views of the dramatic canyon walls, breathtaking deep-blue lake, and desert scenery. Located in The Cove-Palisades State Park.
Start your hike at the lower parking lot (follow signs for the day use area, and drive to the end of the road). Follow the trail and cross a few roads before reaching a campground. From here, the trail starts climbing up about 600 feet up to the top of the canyon. Once at the top, hike either clockwise or counter-clockwise. The top is very flat and features breathtaking views of the lake across both canyons on either side.
