Boy Scout Trail

The Boy Scout Trail at Turkey Creek Nature Preserve in Pinson, Alabama is an easy 0.6-mile out-and-back trail that runs along Turkey Creek and features short, but scenic waterfalls.

The trail is mostly flat and has some small elevation gain and loss, but is an easy hike. At the western terminus, the trail does not connect back to Turkey Creek Road or any other trail, so you'll hike back another 0.3-miles to the trailhead for a 0.6-mile trek. Please note that this mileage does not include the walk from parking to the trailhead.

Waterfall: There are small waterfalls in Turkey Creek - no larger than a few feet tall.

Parking: Parking can be found along Turkey Creek Road at the main parking lot. You'll need to hike down Turkey Creek Road to reach the trailhead.

Pets: Dogs are allowed only on leash and their waste must be carried out.

Water source: If you carry a water filter, you can refill in Turkey Creek.

Biking: Biking is not allowed on this trail.
