Blue Spruce Park Vista Ridge Trail

The Vista Ridge Trail at Blue Spruce Park in Indiana, Pennsylvania is an easy to moderate 0.8 mile loop hike that begins and ends at the parking lot on Groft Rd.

This trail technically has two main trailheads along Groft Rd and one trailhead at the northern end of the Overlook Trail. And despite its name, this trail does not have any views, even up on the hillside that you end up hiking up. This recording starts at the end of the Overlook Trail and heads north, then west, before looping back east and eventually heading south next to the gas well before reaching the parking lot again.

The trail is blazed orange and often has signs showing you which way to turn when you hit junctions with access roads. There's on spur trail that can be found on the far west side of the loop - there's no trail marker so if you're hiking in the same direction (heading east here) stay left at the junction and continue on the orange blazes to reach the gas well.

You can also fully complete the loop by hiking beyond the gas well and back up the hill towards the Overlook Trail.

Dogs and biking are both allowed.
