Bison Ridge Loop Trail

The Bison Ridge Loop trail is a white blaze, moderate, 6.5 mile trail in South Park just outside of Pittsburgh, PA.

The trail weaves in and out of almost all corners of South Park, so you get to see the entire park. There are about 4 or 5 main ascends and descends, so even though the elevation change is small, the elevation gain is much higher.

The trail has numerous trail heads, but the easiest way to get on the trail is to park at the address provided.

Warm, misty rain, dry trails. Not very well blazed, clearly we went off trail. I live about a mile from S Park and never did the full loop. My friend Bob and I did a semblance of it, and more. Near 18,000 steps.
