This is a short loop trail through a lush forest that ends in the Gerdemann Botanic Gardens (hikers with dogs must exit the trail before the garden gate -there is signage). Parking is at the trailhead at the back of the Fisterra Gardens Townhomes on Diversity Dr., across the 101 from the Fireside Hotel. There are several spots with signs for trail parking. The trail lets you out by Earthworks Gallery and Beach Daisy Wines, where you can walk along the shoulder of the 101 back to your car. Walkers can access this trail from the 804 coastal trail by following the pavement on the North side of the Fireside hotel parking lot out to the 101. The initial ascent is a little steep but there are stairs and tree root steps throughout and it’s relatively short and not too strenuous. The trail is well maintained but likely muddy in the rainy winter months as most of the trails are in Yachats.
