Mt. Marcy

Adirondack Park
Lake Placid, NY
14.5 miles / 23.3 km
February 11, 2022
Trail Conditions: During winter trails are defined by the snowpacks created by snowshoeing. In general if the weather is good there will be hikers on the trail. Be advised, if you are snowshoeing do not use the 'Ski' routes that are marked by the same round placards place on trees (they read 'Ski'). Views: Most of this trail is undertee cover until you breakout of tree cover towards the summit. You will be able to capture some views around Marcy Dam and also through trees. Closer to the summit when you break out of treeline you will get better views.
