Swift River Green Belt Trail
The Swift River Green Belt Trail in Bondsville, Massachusetts is an easy 1.9-mile out-and-back trail that runs along the banks of the Swift River. The hiking trail follows the swift river for the entire distance, weaving among trees and dipping up and down across old water drains. The trail follows the train tracks and back into the woods just before the Bike Park.
This park offers what seems to be 2 main trails - there is a quarter-mile, universal access trail with benches, lookouts and a covered table area, and a main hiking trail as well. The hiking trail seems to start from the parking lot and heads southwest at a total of 1.8-miles according to the kiosk. The trail also seems to extend just beyond the universal access trail as well.
Along the hiking trail there are some notable places to fish and swim, along with a section for biking as well (Bike Park, as labeled on the map - see these pictures). Both trails are very clean and well maintained over all. There is one section just off the access trail, a small beach like area that does have a fair amount of broken glass and other things, swimming is not recommended here.

Parking: There is a small parking area at the trailhead and parking is available on the cul-de-sac as well.
