The Lake Trail at Raccoon Creek State Park in Hookstown, Pennsylvania is an easy 2.7 mile out-and-back hike that leads to Racoon Creek's Main Lake from the park's office on route 18. The trail is pretty wide, mostly flat, and dogs and biking are both allowed. After parking at the park office, walk north on route 18 and cross the bridge over Traverse Creek. The trailhead can be found just after the bridge on the right-hand side of the road.

After you hike about 1.3 miles, you'll reach the end of the trail where can connect with the Forest Trail; however, the Lake Trail does not continue on the Raccoon Creek Lake any further from this point.

The trail runs along Traverse Creek for the entirety of the hike, so you can use that creek as a water source if you have a water filter.

Views: There are a couple of small view points along the lake near the end of the trail.
